For situations where a plenum box can not be fit in the interior of the boat, or a face draining mist eliminator can not be fit, a sump draining mist eliminator can be utilized. Sump draining mist eliminators are typically mounted from the interior of the boat and often have the vertical mist eliminating louvers visible from the exterior of the boat. As the name implies, there is a sump area below the mist eliminating louvers to collect water. One or more hose barbs extend from the bottom of the sump to allow for water drainage to the exterior.
